Hi everyone,

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your families! Since we don’t have a lot of time this week with our tournament coming up this weekend, I’d like to do category rehearsals. If you cannot make your category’s scheduled time, please let me know!

You are expected to be at rehearsal during this entire time! 🙂  If you have a conflict, please let me know.

Monday: Poetry: 3:15 – 5:15

Tuesday: DDA: 2:45 – 4:45

Wednesday: Oratory: 3:15 – 5:15

Thursday: No rehearsals

Friday: Tournament Set-up

We *will* have a team meeting Monday after school!

Hello SOS, Info, and Radio Folks:

We will not be meeting this week due to the holiday. The week we return from the holiday, I will be meeting with each of my three categories as opposed to individual meetings.

Info will meet Monday from 3:15-4:45; Radio will meet Tuesday from 2:45-4:15; SOS will meet Wednesday from 3:15-4:45. Thursday and Friday will be dedicated to prepping for our own Neuqua tournament. Enjoy your week and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Ms. La Scola

Here is the roster (PDF) for the tournament this Saturday. Those in pink will be competing. Those in white are stand-bys just in case.

Also, one time change. The bus will be leaving Neuqua at 6:00a. (NOT 5:30a as I said in the meeting.) So we’ll see you all around 5:45a by the auditorium.

Hi everyone-

In order to help the us prepare for our tournament on December 4th, we need YOU!

All of the critiques from last year’s tournament need to be counted. Ms. La Scola has all of the sheets in the English office, but she does not have the time to count all of them out to determine if we need copies.

This is where you come in: your categories need to meet up with Ms. La Scola sometime before Thursday to count the critiques for your category. If this happens during option or sometime after school, that’s fine, but we need this completed by Thursday 11/18!

Who?

All of you. This is required for all Speech members. Family members are encouraged to attend!

When?

Monday, November 22^nd.

Speech team members should arrive at 5:00p for pictures. Dress in Speech attire! Look good!

Family members and friends should arrive at 5:15p for a welcome and announcements!

Performances begin promptly at 5:30p. Alumni Speech Team members will be on hand to “judge” and provide analysis.

At 7:00p, we will move to the auditorium for special performances. We should be done before 8:00p.

What should you bring?

If you are in the following categories, you should bring snacks (cookies, chips, brownies, muffins, etc): ES, HDA, HI, IS, Dec, OO, DI, PR

If you are in the following categories, you should bring drinks (juice, soda): RS, DDA, Poe, SOS

If you are in the following category, you should bring cups: Info

If you are in the following category, you should bring napkins: OC

Who’s competing?

The roster will be posted on the site by Thursday.

Extemp and Radio?

You will both prep at the tournament with one round being double-judged. You will prep again in finals.

What time should you be at Neuqua?

The bus leaves at 5:30 a.m.
