Neuqua Valley Speech Team

The date for banquet is set for Thursday, March 20 from 6:00 – 9:00p. It’ll take place at Tamarack Golf Club (just like last year).

The cost will be $14/person (that includes a pizza/pasta/brownies/cookies buffet) and you’re welcome to bring family members. Checks should be made out to Wildcat Speech. Please return your checks to La Scola in B100 — we must have your money in by Friday, March 7^th.

We tried to accommodate as many people as we could! My apologies if you have a conflict that night.

Hi everyone — I hope you’re getting some well-deserved rest after an incredible weekend.

Here’s some information about what’s ahead:

1) Trophy Ceremony: Neuqua will host a ceremony for our team on Wednesday night, Feb. 26, at 7:00p in the LMC. The State Champs will perform and the team will be recognized. We ask all team members to be present for this event if they’re able to! Family members and friends are welcome to join us!

2) Scripts: I need copies of all scripts used by all team members (novices included) in the following events: DDA, DI, HDA, HI, Info, OC, Dec, OO, PR, Poe, SOS! You will not be allowed to attend the banquet unless I have a copy for our team library. Please send them to me ASAP.

3) Banquet: Speaking of which, we will have our annual team banquet on Thursday, March 20. We’ll send along more information on this soon!

4) Captains: If you are interested in becoming a captain for next season, here is the application! It’s due Friday, March 7.

Here is the information you need for Saturday! We’ll be going to Downers Grove North High School for Sectionals!

What time should you be at Neuqua?

Bus leaves at 6:30a. Be there early!

When will it end?

We should be back by 6:30p.

If you are in the following categories, you should bring snacks (cookies, chips, brownies, muffins, etc): ES, HDA, HI, IS, Dec, OO, DI, PR

If you are in the following categories, you should bring drinks (juice, soda): RS, DDA, Poe, SOS

If you are in the following category, you should bring cups: Info

If you are in the following category, you should bring napkins: OC

We will have a Sectional Team runthrough Thursday night! While I don’t need you to tell me if you cannot be there, the expectation is that all team members will attend.

Also, feel free to invite your friends and family members 🙂

It’ll begin at 5:30p in the Main building Forum Room. See you then!

Sectionals…sectionals…sectionals. It will be challenging, but you know what? You are all as good as any speech team member from DGS, Wheaton-Warrenville, Hinsdale Central, and any other team in this Sectional. Believe in that; believe in yourself.
