Who’s going where?

The tentative roster can be found here. Please let me know if there are any problems!

When will it end?

Wheaton North: We should be home around 6:30p.

West Chicago: We should be home around 3:30p. (There are no final rounds.)

Extemp and Radio?

Wheaton North: ES will prep twice at the tournament (and against for finals). RS will prep at home the day before. There is Radio prep for finals.

West Chicago: ES will prep three times at the tournament. RS will prep at home the day before.

What time should you be at Neuqua?

Wheaton North: Bus leaves at 6:30a. Be there early.

West Chicago: Bus leaves at 6:30a. Be there early.

I need to meet with the following, each for one slot. Bring a script if you have one. Make sure you’re memorized and ready to go. Note! There are conferences Thursday all evening, and I am at the Improv Workshop all Friday.

Week 3 – As mentioned last week to category leaders, the next two weeks (due to parent/teacher conferences and a conflict I will have on Wednesdays) forces us to get rehearsals done in a quick amount of time early in the week. So, as discussed, the date/time/category are listed below. The whole category should come, but I will only be watching varsity performances, unless a varsity member in the category is not ready. All folks should PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

If you are planning on practicing on Thursday afternoon, remember that teachers have conferences that evening and everyone MUST BE OUT BY 4:00 — AT THE LATEST!!! THIS MEANS YOU.

Week 2 – Novices need to be ready to go for this Saturday’s meet at DGN. It’s always a scary and nerve-racking day for the novices, so all varsity— please be sure that you try and calm anxieties and help the novices as much as possible; you were all there once too and know that an encouraging work helps! To all novices —- PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! You will be great.

PLEASE NOTE: For this season, I am trying to see the same category people all on the same day. I realize that may not always be possible (especially for HI), but try and sign up accordingly.

Here are the details for Tuesday’s Novice Night and Parent Night. Remember: Varsity team members are *not* required to attend the meeting this year.

• The event takes place from 6:00 – 8:00p on Tuesday, October 29^th in C202 (the Main Forum Room).
• 5:45p All Novice team members should show up wearing I’m-competing-in-a-Tournament clothing. This will allow us to make sure you’re properly dressed for competition! We’ll begin around 6:00p
• 7:00p Parents should arrive and join us in C202. (Varsity members’ parents are not required to attend but they are welcome to join us if they’d like to learn more about Speech Team!)
• 8:00p We will be finished!
