Who’s going?

When will it end?

We should be home around 6:30p.

Extemp and Radio?

Extemp will prep twice at the tournament and once for finals.

RS will prep at home the day before.

What time should you be at Neuqua?

Bus leaves at 6:30a. Be there early!

Week 2 – Novices need to be ready to go for this Saturday’s meet at DGN. It’s always a scary and nerve-racking day for the novices, so all varsity— please be sure that you try and calm anxieties and help the novices as much as possible; you were all there once too and know that an encouraging work helps! To all novices —- PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! You will be great.

PLEASE NOTE: For this season, I am trying to see the same category people all on the same day. I realize that may not always be possible (especially for HI), but try and sign up accordingly.

Here are the details for Tuesday’s Novice Night and Parent Night. Remember: Varsity team members are *not* required to attend the meeting this year.

• The event takes place from 6:00 – 8:00p on Tuesday, October 29^th in C202 (the Main Forum Room).
• 5:45p All Novice team members should show up wearing I’m-competing-in-a-Tournament clothing. This will allow us to make sure you’re properly dressed for competition! We’ll begin around 6:00p
• 7:00p Parents should arrive and join us in C202. (Varsity members’ parents are not required to attend but they are welcome to join us if they’d like to learn more about Speech Team!)
• 8:00p We will be finished!

Hello All:

Welcome to a new speech season. This week, I will meet with full categories so that I know what everyone is planning for the season. Category Leaders: Please signup for a timeslot and make sure the entire category knows to be there at the designated time you select. Everyone must bring to the meeting scripts and notes about what you will be doing with this script. I should not hear “I don’t have a script yet” as that is not an acceptable response.

FYI, all the acting categories (and maybe Prose) need to keep Friday, Nov, 8th from 4-6:30pm free. We will be have an acting workshop that day. You need to attend. More information to come from Mason and/or Pontarelli. Thanks!

October 18 has now come and gone, and too many people have not submitted insurance forms and/or activity fees.

Effective Monday, Oct. 21, if you do not have your forms and fee handed in directly to La Scola at the team meeting, you will be unable to participate in further rehearsals until which time you have paid and submitted the forms. This goes for Category Leaders as well. As Leaders on this team, it is expected that you behave as Leaders, which includes paying your fees and filling out the insurance forms. This ban will carry over to the meet on Nov. 2 if no paperwork or activity fees are received.

This is your last warning.

Remember: Tuesday, October 29th will be Novice Night and Parent Night! Keep that evening open on your calendars!
