Neuqua Valley Speech Team

Since school is closed on Monday (and after school rehearsals are still iffy as I write this), our team meeting will be held Tuesday after school.

We will not have rehearsals on Monday. (But you’re welcome to practice on your own outside of school.)

Who’s going where?

The tentative roster can be seen here. Please let me know if there are any problems!

When will it end?

We should be home around 7:00p.

What time should you be at Neuqua?

Bus leaves at 6:00a. Be there earlier.

On Monday, we will NOT have a regular team meeting after school. We will, however, have our annual Open House for family and friends!

Who?

All of you! This is required for all Speech members (unless you have spoken to me already). Family members and friends are encouraged to attend!

When?

Monday, November 19.

Speech team members should arrive in the LMC (library) at 5:00p for pictures. Dress in Speech attire! Look good!

Family members and friends should arrive by 5:15p for a welcome and announcements!

Performances begin promptly at 5:30p.

At 7:00p, we will begin special performances in the LMC. We should be done before 8:00p.

What should you bring?

If you are in the following categories, you should bring a package of snacks (cookies, chips, brownies, muffins, etc): DDA, DI, HDA, HI, OC, POE, PR

If you are in the following categories, you should bring a 12/24-pack of drinks (juice, soda, water): EXT, DEC, INFO, OO, SOS

If you are in the following category, you should bring a bag of cups: Imp

If you are in the following category, you should bring a package of napkins: RS

We also accept homemade cookies from anyone. Because yum.

Who’s going?

When will it end?

Wheaton North: We should be home around 6:00p.

Fremd: We should be home around around 6:00p.

Extemp and Radio?

Wheaton North: Extemp will prep twice at the tournament. Radio will prep at home the day before. Both events will prep at the tournament for finals.

Fremd: Both events will prep twice at the tournament and again for finals.

What time should you be at Neuqua?

Wheaton North: Bus leaves at 6:30a. Be there early!

Fremd: Bus leaves at 6:00a. Be there early!

It will now take place Friday night at 7:00pm in D107 in the Main Building.

Please make sure your parents can make it (if you’re a novice).

Extemp and Radio?

Extemp will prep twice at the tournament (with 7-minute speeches!) and once for finals.

Radio will prep at home the day before.

What time should you be at Neuqua?

Bus leaves at 6:30a. Be there early!

The Parent Night event will take place from 7:00 – 8:00p in C202 (the Main Building’s Forum Room).

Students are welcome to come, too (though they probably know most of the information by now).

Dress up as you would at a Speech tournament!

Be prepared to deliver your piece!

1) We need your health forms if we don’t have them already! Please turn in to the Speech mailbox at the Main building ASAP!

2) Be sure to join the emergency phone list by texting “@h6eh86” to the number 81010 and saying you’re a student.

3) Get in touch with your category leaders for rehearsal dates/times!
