What a fantastic weekend for everyone! You know, at the beginning of the year I was extremely worried about all of the young and new talent. To have so many novices is a difficult thing for a team. However, both Varsity and JV are doing a fantastic job. And for those who did not place, know that every rank you take in is points towards team placement. You are all are indispensible.

For this week, I think it’s a wodnerful time to take a step back and put priorities in order. First and foremost, you need to take care of yourselves. During the stress of finals, please be sure to try and eat healthy, get plenty of sleep, and worry about what’s most important — your health and your grades.

Having said that, don’t forget that we still have tournaments on Saturday. Therefore, we will be having one rehearsal per student, but we are going to have a break between finals and our time slots. That should give you time to rest, study, and get some lunch. Please make sure that if you’re sticking around until your rehearsal, it’s important that you are considerate to teachers who are trying to get work done or students who are taking exams during the make-up sessions. That means, try to keep the volume down in the B hallway.

As well, there is a manditory meeting on Friday. This is where we’re going to exchange our Secret Santa gifts. If you all are interested in bring snacks for us to have a little holiday gathering, I’m all for it! Contact me if you’re interested, and we can organize. If that’s not something you’re interested in, that’s fine. Here’s what I suggest, those who are with Freidhof and Baker, bring things like chips and dip. Mehta and Blanchard, bring sweets. Carreno, bring drinks and cups. Sound good? If that’s too much to worry about, then we can nix it. Just go ahead and in your sign up post, put what you’re bringing…then we can see what we have and what we need.

Again, I’m proud of you! I couldn’t ask for a better team, and I look forward to spending time with you on Friday, where we can bond and not worry about talking speech!
