Right now, both tournaments are STILL HAPPENING despite the weather. If that changes, we’ll send out an update to everyone on the team!
Here is the information you need for the Friday/Saturday tournament at Downers Grove South and Saturday’s tournament at Bolingbrook!
Who’s going?
The tentative roster can be found here. Please let me know if there are any problems!
(If you are not competing on Friday, you do NOT have to come to DGS. That includes the PIR cast members, who will be rehearsing at Neuqua on Saturday.)
What time should you be at Neuqua?
FRIDAY: The bus for DGS leaves at 3:30p. (You can choose whether to bring your Speech stuff to school and change there… or go home and change and come back!)
SATURDAY: The bus for DGS leaves at 6:30a.
SATURDAY: The bus for Bolingbrook leaves at 6:30a.
When will it end?
FRIDAY: We should be home around 10:00p. (Not a typo.)
SATURDAY (DGS): We should be home around 6:30p.
SATURDAY (Bolingbrook): We should be home around 6:00p.
Extemp and Radio?
DGS: You will prep EVERY ROUND.
Bolingbrook: You will prep once for prelims and once for finals.
Food situation?
DGS: 1. Food service will be open at 4pm on Friday. Snacks, grab n gos and drinks
2. Breakfast on Saturday will be open at 7 am.
3. The Combo meals for Friday Dinner and Saturday lunch are $6.50
4. CASH ONLY- NO cards, unfortunately.
Items include: Chicken tenders, pizza, grab-and-go salads and sandwiches, chips, candy, and snacks.
Bolingbrook: “Mr Submarine, Fat Rickys and other treats will be available in $7 combos for competitors by noon.”
